The Louies are an annual award program recognizing academic achievement in St. Louis City and County public and public charter schools.
Designed to celebrate schools that foster high academic growth regardless of students’ starting point, our hope is that the Louies will provide well-deserved recognition, increase awareness of school performance generally, and spotlight paths for all schools to achieve higher academic growth.
The Louies are underwritten by the Gateway to Success Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing quality public education through the recognition of successful public and public charter schools in the Saint Louis region.
The PRiME Center contributes to public policy-making by delivering independent research about what really works. Their findings are the basis for The Louies award criteria.
